MORE ABOUT FACETIME

FACETIME is a techno-focused queer-centered, multi-disciplinary party based in NYC founded in 2019 by Brooklyn-based artist Eric Umble and Detroit-based artist Rebecca Goldberg. We aim to create and hold safe space for our community to come together and celebrate each other; to see and be seen by one another; and to affirm, support, and uplift each other. Above all, FACETIME is a community focused on fostering safe, queer-centered spaces. Since we began as a monthly free event in the bar at H0l0 in February 2019, we have held parties at Nowadays, Bossa Nova Civic Club, Mansions, Trans-Pecos, Market Hotel, The Parkside Lounge, Jupiter Disco, Hart Bar, the Orange Room (Detroit), the B-Side Lounge (Cleveland), as well as underground venues. We remained safely active during the pandemic through the production of various livestreams including multiple virtual events at H0l0 and a collaboration with Paxahau live from Detroit, and launched the FACETIME podcast on Soundcloud in winter 2022.
